The Swedish and Finnish National Committees of the IFRF and the Scandinavian-Nordic Section of the Combustion Institute are organising Flame Days on 26-27 January 2011 in Piteå, Sweden.

The Flame Days will be devoted to research on thermo-chemical conversion (combustion & gasification) of fuels that is a challenge for the future development towards a sustainably society.

The oral presentations will be grouped into the following topics:

• Multifuel Combustion
• Gasification
• Oxyfuel Combustion
• Engines and Gas Turbines

Each topic will be introduced by a keynote speaker. The language of the conference is English.  The conference is open to members of the IFRF and the Combustion Institute, as well as to non-members.
